Uxbridge stabbing happened in broad daylight, leaving a 21 year old man fighting for his life.

A 21-year-old man has been left fighting for his life following a stabbing incident in Uxbridge High Street.

A MAN has been arrested in relation to a stabbing on Uxbridge High Street, in the London borough of Hillingdon. Emergency service first responders rushed to the scene in High Street, Uxbridge, shortly after 3pm this afternoon. Large parts of the High Street where closed with cordons stretching from the front of Primark, all the way to McDonalds.

Police officers and forensics teams could be seen gathering evidence throughout the afternoon. Officers also brought in a sniffer dog to help them scour the area for vital evidence that will later be used in prosecution of the perpetrator.

A statement was issued by the Metropolitan Police at around 5pm,

"Police were called at around 3.15pm on Tuesday, August 1 to reports of a man stabbed on Uxbridge High Street. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A 21-year-old man was taken to a Central London hospital for treatment. "We await an update on his condition.
"A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in relation to the incident. He has been taken to a West London police station for questioning. A crime scene is in place. Enquiries continue."

A number of emergency ambulance vehicles and staff attended the scene and treated the male, the 21-year-old male was then taken to a specialist trauma centre.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told Hillingdon Vision:


“We were called at 2.51pm today (August 1) to reports of an incident on High Street, Uxbridge. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a medic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and a clinical team manager. “Our first medics arrived in less than five minutes. We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”

Many local bus services were affected by the incident in Uxbridge, with buses not serving the High Street and diverting along Belmont Road instead. The bus services affected included the 222, 331, 427, U1, U3, U4, U5, U7, U9, U10 and 724

Several local businesses had to close whilst the police investigation took place including the popular Tesco's Express and Subway stores.

The police investigation continues, and the police are appealing for public support, asking anybody with information to contact them quoting Cad reference: 4545 / August 1st.


The high street reopened around 7.30pm with busses and businesses returning to normal shortly after.
