Emergency services respond as off-duty paramedic administers life-saving aid
Long Lane in Hillingdon was closed this evening following a serious three-vehicle collision that resulted in one person being taken to hospital.

The injured individual received immediate medical attention at the scene from an off-duty paramedic—one of the drivers involved in the crash—who provided critical care before emergency responders arrived. The paramedic’s father told Hillingdon Vision:
“I am very proud of my daughter. She jumped straight out to help, even though she had just been through an accident herself.”
Police officers cordoned off the area while paramedics assessed the injured man’s condition. Initially believed to be life-threatening, his injuries were later downgraded as medical staff determined they were not as severe as first feared.

A local shopkeeper who witnessed the aftermath described the scene:
“I was on the phone in my shop when I heard a huge bang. I ran outside and saw there had been a bad accident. Somebody had already called emergency services, so I decided to help in any way I could by offering bottles of water to those involved.”
Long Lane remained closed as emergency crews worked at the scene.
We are awaiting a statement from the Metropolitan Police regarding the incident.
Update:
The road has now reopened in both directions.
