Parties publish candidates for upcoming Council Elections

All parties have now published their full list of candidates for the Hillingdon Council elections due to due to take place on May 5th.


Voters will see some familiar names on their ballot, with Councillor Janet Gardner becoming the longest serving Labour Councillor in Hillingdon if she wins.


A number of sitting Council members are not re-standing for their seats including former Conservative Council leader Sir Ray Puddifoot.


Speaking about the candidates that his party have put forward, Labour Group Leader Cllr Peter Curling said:

"We have a fantastic set of candidates standing for us, and I am really excited about what the Labour Group could look like after the elections. There is immense talent amongst our candidates, and unbeatable passion. "They are already out working their wards, talking to residents, and explaining what a Labour Council would do if we are elected to serve."
