Murdered in broad daylight. Murder investigation launched after man stabbed to death in Uxbridge.

Multiple crime scenes are in place within the Hillingdon borough after a man believed to be in his fifties died following an altercation in Uxbridge yesterday evening (6/7/22).





The incident occurred just before 7pm, a time when many residents and passers by would of been in the area.


Metropolitan police officers and the London ambulance service attended the scene in Cowley Road, Uxbridge along with Medics from the Air Ambulance service. The helicopter was seen landing in a nearby local park.





Members of the emergency services worked tirelessly in an attempt to save the man but unfortunately his injuries where too severe and he passed away on scene.


The gruesome scene showed large amounts of blood visible on the pavement and what appeared to be the deceased victim under a blanket provided by the ambulance service.

Cowley road remains closed whilst an investigation takes place with forensic officers arriving on the scene to gather evidence surrounding the man's death.


A second crime scene is in place at Hayes Police station where a male handed himself into police last night and was subsequently arrested on suspicion murder.

A statement has been issued by police in relation to this incident.


"Police were called at 19:07hrs on Wednesday, 6 July to reports of a stabbing at the junction of Cowley Road and The Greenway, Uxbridge. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance. A man, thought to be aged in his 50s, was found with a stab injury. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene. His next of kin are yet to be informed. A man, thought to be aged in his 40s, subsequently attended a west London police station where he was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody. Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command have been informed and enquiries are ongoing. Several crime scenes are in place. London Borough of Hillingdon has gone to the dogs . I thought it was bad enough when I lived there. I grow up in Beechwood Ave lived in the area from 1952 till 2014 and moved because of crime, now it twice as bad
