Motorcyclist injured after a collision in Cowley

Emergency vehicles could be seen blocking the road



A motorcyclist has been injured following a suspected hit-and-run collision with a white van in afternoon, (Thursday29th of August). The incident occurred at approximately 15:10 on Cowley Road, Uxbridge, leaving the rider with injuries that required immediate medical attention.


A witness, who declined to be named publicly, described the shocking moment the motorbike collided with the van, throwing the rider onto the road. "The motorbike collided with a white van, throwing the rider onto the road," the witness recounted. "The van then sped off, leaving the rider on the floor with injuries, it was really shocking."


Passersby quickly rushed to the motorcyclist's aid, providing assistance while others called emergency services. The Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service arrived promptly at the scene. The rider, a male, was treated on-site before being transported to a nearby hospital. According to the police, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

In a statement, the Metropolitan Police confirmed the incident, stating, "We were called to the scene at 15:10 to reports of a collision. A male was taken for treatment at a nearby hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Enquiries continue."


The collision led to minor traffic delays in the area, but the situation was resolved quickly, and the road was reopened shortly after.


The police are continuing their investigation and are appealing for any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
